How do automatic actions work if there are future-dated actions in the employee record?
If an automatic action is effected prior to a future-dated action that has already been processed, the system does not update the future-dated action. Therefore, any needed modifications, e.g. step to the future-dated action must be updated manually. Because the system has no way of automatically notifying any group of users that an intervening automatic action has occurred, the DHHS Program Support Center (PSC) has created a public query (report) that lists employees who have had automatic actions processed and have pending future-dated actions. This query is named “Pending Future Actions” HE0035.
