How do astronauts communicate in space?
While on the International Space Station, astronauts communicate with each other by talking. There is air on the station, and air will support the transmission of sound waves. Just like it does here on earth. If someone is outside on an EVA, a radio link will be used for communication with those inside, and a radio link is used between the station and ground.
