Law students are using this assessment for their own personal development. We are promoting the use of the HPI as a way for each student to differentiate themselves from others and also for a tool to help them assess if a work environment is a good fit for their personality. Several Hogan clients (each assessing approximately 120,000 applicants a year) conduct post-assessment surveys of applicant reactions to the selection system. These clients do not solely ask about the Hogan Assessments, but about the entire selection system in general. Results of those surveys suggest that about 1.5% of all applicants will have a negative reaction to a selection system, but the reactions are distributed across all forms of selection practices (e.g., interviews, applications, pre-employment qualifications, assessments).
