DG: Not that difficult, really. It was a lot of work, but we kept it fairly simple. We wanted the game to look next-gen, but obviously [points toward Chris] its not quite up to par with what these guys have done with Unreal! We had a small team, so we couldnt spend two weeks mapping the side of a building [laughs]. We had to move on and concentrate on the basics. The game itself is based on the Massive Multiplayer server-style model, so the server has to have a very different data set than the client. Ensuring the system works smoothly requires a lot of technical integration, which places some handicaps on us. We had to look for ways to fake it, which is pretty uncommon in games. We ended up having to cross-breed a number of technologies to make it all work. But it was fun. That was one of the great things about choosing a real setting you can recognize the landmarks when you see them, but we didnt create a total replica. That last bit was too vague to be of any use.
