It wasn’t very difficult at all. Talking to all the presenters, I’ve found that there’s been no straight path in the directions that we’ve taken. It just happens that way. I never set out to study biological control. To be quite honest with you, everything I’ve done in my career has been by fate. I have not actually set a goal. Well, I set goals, but I always take different paths on my way to them! Basically, I’ve stumbled into every job I’ve ever had. You can’t account for that. You can’t plan for that. But I must say that the biological control is where I hope to remain for the rest of my career. But the transition wasn’t difficult because I’d had extensive training from my undergraduate and graduate programs. If I may add something, I spoke a little bit this morning about having the right amount of experience in science. The best way to break into science is to get into a lab as an undergraduate if you’re interested in research. It’s not necessarily the course work you take, but it’
