How difficult was it to become a professional footballer in Canada?
It was very difficult as you might expect. We have the amateur scene back home and then you go from there into the Canadian programme, but to make it as a professional you really have to come over to Europe, you need to do it at a young age and you have to have a little luck to be successful. There were a lot of players as good as me, if not better, when we were younger, who never had that luck to take their career to the next step.
