How difficult is the trekking in Dogon country?
The trails are steep and rocky at the beginning and end of the trek, but relatively flat the rest of the time. Distances are not great each day, but it can be hot at mid-day between April and August. Camping can be in tents or on the roofs of local homes, as most people prefer. If you do not wish to camp, consider a private trip and stay in the one hotel in the area and take day trips to villages.
