How difficult is it to perform an Iron Cross?
The iron cross or crucifix is one of the most famous skills done on the rings. This is done by extending both arms straight out from the body and holding your body weight up for at least two seconds. Like most classic ring strength skills, it is unique in that it almost works your entire upper body in one exercise. For the average person the iron cross is extremely difficult, but for gymnasts, it is only a B-level skill on scale from A to E. However, these moves don’t require a lifetime of gymnastics to complete, it just takes a lot of dedicated training and patience. If you want to take these exercises on, we recommend working up to them slowly and carefully, be patient and listen to your body.
