How difficult is it to obtain title insurance as well as property insurance?
At the moment, companies that provide property inspections and title insurance do not exist in Mexico. Property insurance, however, is available. Since 1996, Stewart Title Guaranty Company has offered title insurance for properties in Mexico. Title insurance is included in the purchase of property at Los Veneros. Other types of insurance, for example against theft, flood, hurricanes, damage or earthquakes, are available in Mexico and the policies can be issued for payment in US dollars.
