How difficult is it to get a property and casualty insurance license?
If you are reasonably intelligent, pay attention in class, and read your assignments, you should be able to pass. However, after you take the class to get the license, it would be good to take more classes. You would get a better understanding by taking more classes. You could also move up in insurance by earning designations in insurance. I would recommend that after taking the class and getting your license that you take classes from IIA/AICPCU. They are well respected in property and casualty insurance. You can earn a choice of several designations in insurance from them. They are out of Malvern, PA. However, you do not go to them for classes. There are insurance professionals all over the nation that teach the classes. There are certain to be some near you. www.aicpcu.org is the website that you can visit to get more information on their classes. I have taken many of the classes. A designation like CPCU can help you earn the big bucks. AU and other designations also help.
