How difficult is it to find good managers in the voluntary sector?
Finding competent, motivating and professional managers is the key to the success of any organisation. We work really hard at both growing our own and finding new people who will fit our values and ethos. It can be difficult sometimes to do the initial find – once good staff have joined, retention is key and we have a good track record here. Why is HFT supporting Learning Disability Today? We’re doing it because we think it is an excellent window on the world of learning disability and, in return, provides a show case for anyone with an interest in the field. By that we mean people with learning disabilities themselves, providers, purchasers and, of course, staff at all levels. Can you be both a successful campaigner and an effective manager?
