How difficult is it to be a good mentor?
Being a mentor is undoubtedly a challenging role. However, as long as you are committed, can relate to young people, have good communication skills, and are non-judgemental, it is likely that you will make a good mentor. It can be easier than you think to make a difference to a young person in care. If you are able to make the commitment, you will be provided with training and support through the project, so will never be on your own.
