How difficult is A-level Chemistry and Biology?
Studies of relative subject difficulty (such as that carried out by the CEM centre in Durham) find that Chemistry and Biology are tougher A Levels than most other subjects. However, A Levels generally are easier than they used to be. If you have looked at the AS Level units and are comfortable with them, then don’t hesitate to take these subjects. Your willingness to study independently will be a great asset. You are also likely to have better career prospects having taken traditional academic subjects.
