I am only familiar with two types of paintball tournaments and will attempt to address this question based on my knowledge.Standard paintball tournaments are none military and operate in a series of 10~15 minutes games based on capture the flag or speedball. Each team is usually made up of 5~6 individuals. Lion Claws series tournaments are based on military style missions with a military style command structure. Each scenario could run anywhere from 90~180 minutes; including full day scenarios. Each Squad is made up of 12 trooper, each Platoon is made up of 4 squads plus a Platoon Lt. and a Plt. Sgt. Depending on the size of the event, each COMPANY could consists of 3~4 platoons. Each COMPANY is led by an event VIP Commander.
