How different do you think that things would be if al gore won the 2000 election?
I believe a couple of major things would be quite different: Al Gore would not have invaded Iraq based upon twisted and doctored ‘intelligence’ and have conducted a propaganda campaign in order to cloud the public’s perceptions so that they would link Saddam to terrorist attacks with which he had no connection with whatsoever. We would have instead focused upon Afghanistan and al Qaeda. We wouldn’t have caused instability in the Persian Gulf thereby making Iran the most powerful nation in the region. Because he also would not have engaged in the idiotic borrow and spend policies of Bush and the Republican Congress, the US dollar would not be beaten down today and because the mid-east would be more stable and the dollar more valuable there wouldn’t be as much speculation effecting the price of oil and gas.
