How did you get involved with the Boys Club of New York Baseball Academic All-Star program?
AH: Bill Mitchell [who runs the Baseball Academic All-Stars] got me involved in the program. When we went on out first boarding school trip to Cardigan Mountain School, it really opened my eyes to the opportunities. I probably would not be where I am today without that experience. BTF: How did the program help you get where you are today? AH: Without the program, I would not be in the situation I am in today. I was given the opportunity to grow in terms of baseball ability as well as academically. Boys’ Club helped me a tremendous amount and I appreciate it. BTF: What have been your biggest challenges in going from a high school player to a professional player? AH: The biggest challenge is getting used to the speed of the game. Also, you realized that you are now playing with men instead of kids. Everyone around me has just as much talent as I do. BTF: How did your experience with BCNY help prepare you for your career?
