How did you first hear about Liverpool John Moores University?
I previously worked as an education consultant in Nepal, and I worked with universities from all over the world. I had a very good knowledge of UK institutions and this is where I first came across LJMU. In addition, a friend of mine who was already studying in LJMU also recommended the University. Why did you decide to come to LJMU? When I decided that I wanted to undertake a PhD, I was open to the idea of going to the USA, Australia or the UK. However, after I researched the universities I really liked the Education Faculty at LJMU. I received excellent support from them throughout my application, and Gill Broadhurst (Head of International Recruitment) provided a lot of information and contacts for me. I then travelled to Europe so that I could meet the academic staff and get a feel for the University. I really liked the University and the staff and I felt I could achieve my goals here.
