How did you come up with the name “Newf Brand Cosmetics?
As you may have seen us mention elsewhere, the name of the company was inspired by our dog, Ayla, a 100 pound Newfoundland “puppy.” One of the first natural products we started developing were for pets – dog shampoo and a doggie deodorant to use in between washes. Most of the time our dog eats better than we do, and whether you have a pure bred dog or a mix from the streets, you know how easy it is for a dog to capture your heart and start influencing your life. A giant breed dog seems to do that even more so because it’s very similar to having a child. Your life is turned upside down when you bring it home as a puppy and start potty training her; you start making plans to go out with friends based on whether you dog is allowed to come or not and you definitely notice a big dog when it’s standing on your foot or her tail starts sweeping things from the dinner table.
