How did Valentines day come about?
Valentine was a Christian Bishop in Rome in the time of Emperor Claudious. Claudious decided it would be better if Men were banned from Marrying as he wanted them as Soldiers and Marriage intervered with a Soldiers Life, so he banned Marriage. Valentine Married People on the Quiet and was Eventually found out and Claudious had him Executed, so he became a Martyr and Eventually was declared a Saint. In 1834 St Valentines Body was sent to Whitefriar Street Catholic Church in Dublin Ireland and he Rests there to this Day. There is some Dispute over whether it is the Real St Valentine Body that lies in State in Dublin. So from Ancient Roman Times, His Day is Celebrated by Lovers all over the World each Year on St Valentines Day.
