How did USA use Islamic fundamentalism to fight against USSR and secondly Why Islamic people were ..?
Mostly the US supported the mujaheddin in Afghanistan, the forerunners of the Taliban against the Communists when the Soviets invaded in 1979 and fought through the 1980’s. The main reason the Muslims did not join the USSR against Israel, was for one thing large numbers of Muslims in the Soviet Union were not allowed to practice openly, just as Christians, Jews and others were basically not allowed to practice their religion, although some Muslims did. Since Communism is atheistic most of the Muslims would not want to join with them (although there were many Arab leaders who sided with the Soviet Union, including Syria and to some extent, for material and support, Saddam Hussein of Iraq. Of course, these countries never were Communist, just took what they could from the Soviet Union and anybody else, including in the case of Iraq, the US for a long time.
