How did they know that they had received the Holy Ghost?
John 3:8 states that the pouring out of the Holy Ghost would be invisible, yet seen and heard. The Bible does not state that the Apostle Paul spoke in tongues when he received the Holy Ghost, but it does state that he spoke in tongues and understood the differences between the different types of tongues (I Cor. 12, 13, 14; esp. I Cor. 14:18). II Cor 13:1, Matt. 18:16, and Deut. 19:5 state that in order for a doctrine to be established that two or three witness have to say the same thing.
