How did the Wisconsian ice age start?

LOL! There were many reasons that the Ice Age started. The main reason was the formation of the Isthmus of Panama. Warm equatorial water that could at one point flow around the world was now encountering a barrier and being forced poleward. This brought moisutre and in essence snow. Because the antarctic is situated as a polar continent and there is anisolated ocean in the northern pole region. Snow and ice accumulated and the eath’s albedo increased and this caused a global cooling pattern to being and led to the build up of continental glaciers. On a side note, it is also the Isthmus of Panama that is the reason that the earth is still in a relatively cool cycle.
