How did the Urantia Papers come into being?
The heavenly Revelators made contact with a psychiatrist, Dr. William S. Sadler, who had been called in to witness the unprecedented phenomenon of an unidentified man’s uncategorized night disturbances, about which that unidentified man was wholly unaware since he would always be in a profound sleep. Dr. Sadler wrote only a little about this phenomenon in the Appendix of his book, “The Mind at Mischief.” He was sworn to secrecy by the Revelators, as subsequently were the forum of seventy mortals eventually gathered together for the purpose of posing questions to the Revelators. The patient’s identity will never be known for certain.
