TULSA, Okla. (AP)—Three games into his college coaching career, Isiah Thomas was already asking for mercy. Midway through the second half of Florida International’s 81-49 loss at Tulsa on Sunday, Thomas motioned toward his counterpart as if to ask when he’d take his starters out. Wojcik put Uzoh back into the game with just under 9 minutes to play and pulled center Jerome Jordan shortly thereafter. Uzoh left the game with more than 5 minutes remaining. Wojcik had emptied his entire bench with 3 minutes left. In last Friday’s season opener, Hurtt and Uzoh scored 16 points each as Tulsa defeated Division II St. Mary’s 72-47. Sophomore Steven Idlet had career highs in points (15) and rebounds (9) for Tulsa. St. Mary’s guards Curtis Mitchell and John Roberts continually broke down the TU defense, creating easy shots f
