How did the treaty of paris 1783 end the revolutionary war?
Actually the British did not withdraw all of their troops, though the treaty said that they would. They kept troops out west in the Ohio Valley region. But Britain did recognize the U.S. as an independent country and established formal relations with America. The troops issue would yet play a small part in the decision to go to war in the War of 1812.
