How did the Sumerians know there are 9 planets and they revolve around the sun?
The aliens who came and built the pyramids told them. They also built the pyramids in Mexico and the things in Peru, and Stonehedge, Or they could have guessed, or just spent a lot of time watching the night skies (no TV). But ancient people actually did have a lot of knowledge about the stars and planets, and some of it was lost for centuries, and since a lot of it was tied in with Astrology, and the Christian Churches oppossed Astrology, things that were known or thought to be known about astronomy was largely forgotten for centuries. But I still like the Aliens.
