How did the Servant Leadership Academy get started?
A. The Servant Leadership Academy was formed in late 2002 in response to a need to develop more leaders throughout the Association. A decade of exponential growth in membership, branches and revenue has caused YMCA associations to concentrate on expanding their leadership base. Better preparing current and future leaders is a focus of the SLA.
