HOW DID THE ROB MACHADO EXPERIENCE GOLF TOURNAMENT COME TO BE?
Rob Machado: I was playing a lot of golf back when we first started the Rob Machado Experience. I played in a lot of golf tournaments; there was the Waterman’s Classic back then and a couple others. They’re fun, but I wanted to do my own tournament that was a little different, try to mix it up a bit, make it a bit more exciting, make it so it’s not just about golf and who the best golfer is. That’s why it’s called “The Experience”. We try to throw some curve balls at people and get those who don’t normally play golf to go out and have fun and not worry about being a ‘golfer’. THE THEME THIS YEAR IS ‘ROCKSTAR’, YOU’VE GOTTA BE THE JIMI HENDRIX OF THE EVENT DON’T YOU? Yeeeah, I’m just gonna have a couple of acid tabs under my head band and just be tsssseeeooow (noise of a bottle rocket taking off). Ha ha, so yeah it’ll be fun.
