A renaissance is in general, a rebirth. During this time art and knowledge was revived. Some people decided to revive their knowledge by going against the Catholic Church’s teachings. These people saw that now there was the printing press, it was easier to spread ideas fast. Printing press=way cheaper books/media, all books before then were handwritten.
