How did the Property Committee reach their decision?
The Property Committee met regularly for 13 months, during which time they visited every property owned or leased by the council, studied property usage statistics and budget information, and listened to girl and adult members and community partners. Although the decision to sell camp properties was a difficult one, the committee and the board feel this plan is ultimately in the best interest of the council and its members. In their decisions, the Property Committee was guided by a commitment to not take anything away without offering something in its place.
