How did the Pope know that Nazism was the way forward for Germany?
After reading an academic source written by a practising Roman Catholic, I can say that the Pope formed a concordant with the Nazi party where Catholicism would reign in education in return for removing the obstacle of the The Catholic Party. It wasn’t so much that he though Nazism was the way forward but he was terrified of the Russian, communist threat This gave way to serious om missions during that time that meant many perished without so much as one word of condemnation. Germany was a Catholic country and the population would have listened if he had criticised Hitlers actions and told his congregations to oppose Hitler.
