How did the people of the world get different skin colors?
Kathy Dear Kathy, We don’t know the origins of the skin colorings of all the various ethnic groups. However, it has been revealed that the descendants of Cain were marked with a black skin. This mark was not a curse, as some seem to believe, but rather it was a protection. The descendants of Cain were cursed by not being permitted to hold the priesthood. (See Abraham 1:26) And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear.
