How did the korean war begin in 1950?

The one thing nobody mentioned was that it was the USSR declaring war on Japan at the very end of WWII that started the whole thing. As Japanese forces moved out of Korea at war’s end and the US Army moved in from the south to stabilized things the Soviets moved in from the north to establish, indoctrinate and supply a Communist led faction that would set up a puppet government similar to what was being done in Soviet occupied Europe. If fact the United Nations partitioning of Korea was a set up that looked very much the way the WWII Allies split up Germany. The only reason that the Koreans thought they could expand was that our occupation of Korea and Japan was much weaker than what we committed ourselves to in Europe so they saw the chance to act. They did not count on our concern over the Communists under Mao taking over the Chinese mainland.

1950,and it Ain’t Over Yet.North and South Korea are still technically at war,the Armistice they signed in 1953 is just a truce, and i wonder when it will escalate into another conflict. The North is getting Cocky again.the 38th Parallel(the border of north and south Korea) is still the heavily defended border in the world.thats why the US is still maintaining a military base there to protect the south from the cocky communist North.and when the conflict starts again,i want to be there fighting the commie’s,just like my grandad who fought there.

At the end of WW2, The Soviets controlled the northern region of Korea, while the U.S. controlled the south. As the governments grew, the North Koreans launched an assault into South Korea in 1950, thus starting the war.
