How did the Juliet Museum of Art get its name?
The art museum was named by a donor in honor of Juliet Clark Alexander, Lyell and Buckner Clay’s half sister. Alexander worked for a short time at the Charleston Daily Mail newspaper, but spent most of her adult life in France raising Arabian horses. She passed away in 1985.
