How did the invention of the printing press help change the world in the renaissance?
When Martin Luther became disenfranchised with the Catholic church for selling indulgences (among other things), he wrote out his concerns which ultimately became his 95 theses. He nailed the 95 theses to the door at Wittenburg in Germany. This happened at the same time as the invention of the printing press. Someone copied the 95 theses before the Church could destroy them and they were widely distributed. This came at a time when people were discouraged from reading and thinking outside of the church’s teachings. When these new ideas became available for everyone, many things changed, thus the beginning of the Reformation.
