Most of the stadiums face east, so I could really only shoot in the morning. I would set out at 3 a.m. so that I could be in Jacksonville by dawn and hope to hit Navasota before the sun got too high. That went on for over two months. It wasn’t possible to shoot more than two stadiums a day, and the distances were so great that it took a long time to get it all in the can. I meticulously planned out my trips so that I could hit the stadiums at exactly the right time and be in the right position on the following day for the next one. … I think if I added the whole thing up, I’m pushing 10,000 miles of driving back and forth from Austin, but I really enjoyed doing it.
