How did the guy that played Superman die?
In June, 1959, George Reeves, the actor who played Superman in the TV show died of a gun-shot wound to the head, which at the time was ruled to be self-inflicted. There was a great deal of controversy later on over whether it truly was suicide or murder, as there were several people in the house at the time of his death, and a delay in contacting the police. Christopher Reeve died in October, 2004 of complications arising from a blood infection that he acquired as a result of sores developing through his paralysis.
