How did the great depression affect the lives of “everyday people”?
The great depression effected the lives of everyday people because the stock market crashed. Millions of people put their bonds (money) into the stock market, then something went horribly wrong. Tons and tons of businesses went out of business and people lost their jobs. Many people were also evicted from their houses. And basically what i would call a lasting effect on african americans in the deep south would probably be that they have trouble with today’s economy as well, and even the modern stockmarket doesn’t work perfectly. we are in jeopardy of this happening again. Will it? We dont know..Can it? possibly. I really hope this helped!
