In fact, he uses his police bodyguards to keep me away from him. I’m not pushy, and as the son of a Detroit cop, I’m not about to give these officers a hard time. I feel this is an unfortunate because in a free society it’s important for public officials to be answerable to the people. Since your job prevents you from going to press conferences and other events, my bosses send me there to get answers for you.
