How did the fall of rome lead to feudalism in western europe?
When there was still the centralizing power and influence of Rome, Europe still had a system which was centered in Rome. Orders and culture came from Rome and spread throughout the empire. With the collapse of Rome under the barbarians, power from the center was lost and there was still no national entities that could replace it, so what became dominant were small city-states and nation-states that fought against each other.
