How did the Egyptians and Mesopotamias build the pyramids and Ziggurats?
Every single archaeologist-they are the scientists actually studying the pyramids-knows for a fact that humans did build the pyramids. To think otherwise greatly underestimates the ingenuity and abilities of ancient peoples and goes against every piece of evidence that has been discovered. Today, a very common theory, at least for the Egyptian pyramids, is that the massive amounts of labor necessary to build the pyramids became available every year when the Nile flooded and farmers could no longer farm. Instead of letting these massive amounts of people sit idle for those few months, the upper classes would put them to work on constructing monumental architecture.
