How did the early campers (RVers) of the 1920’s and 30’s impact the nation?
As auto-camping became more popular in the late teens and early 20s, the campers and their families began to demand safe and interesting places to go where they could camp. The growth of the National Park system answered that need. Plus many cities, especially in the south, recognized this travel trend and began to establish city owned campgrounds promoting the city as the attraction.
