Answer Hi Renee, Some say the hole in the roof at Texas Stadium was made “So God can look down and watch his favorite football team.” Naturally, this attitude and the title of “America’s Team” did not bode well with the other franchises in the league. Which caused the Cowboys to always have somewhat of a bullseye on their back. But contrary to what some believe, the “America’s Team” title was NOT self-proclaimed by the Dallas Cowboys.
