How did the COE effort get started?
o The MDCPS and Microsoft team has been inundated with requests from school districts within the United States and around the world for technical information on the Enterprise Portals. Also, with the introduction of Learning Village 2.0, there is a need for the MDCPS, Microsoft and HMHLT team to work together to come up with a blueprint of how MOSS will integrate with LV 2.0. Due to scheduling and resourcing constrains, following are the issues that have been introduced: 1. It has been very challenging to schedule time for Microsoft resources who worked on the MDCPS Portal project due to other commitments. 2. It has been challenging to get MDCPS staff to assist with customer meetings and demos as they have their normal duties to perform in addition to the customer meetings and demos. 3. MDCPS lacks a true demo environment that contains cleansed data for employees, students, teachers and parents. 4.
