The Cincinnati Police Division’s Citizen Police Academy officially began in October 1994. The concept of a Citizens Police Academy started in England in 1977. The first such course in the United States was at the Orlando, Florida Police Department in 1985. The program is designed to provide better understanding between citizens and the police through education. OK I want to join!
