How did The Boxer Rebellion come into being?
I moved over to London from Tennessee and Todd from Adelaide in 2000. From there we did some acoustic shows together, but Kings of Convenience we were not. We found Piers and Adam studying together at a local music college and went from there. At first we weren’t very good, but soon things started to click and make sense. Not until everyone became involved in the process did we become something unique. With us it just took time. When can we catch you playing live? We will be all over the UK from mid-September, like a rash, but a very good rash. It is going to be our eighth or ninth tour around Britain and hopefully the best. It is something that we will always enjoy doing. What have you been listening to recently? Our friend Fink’s new album is great. It’s like the first early evening drink on a holiday, relaxing.
