How did the Balfour Declaration affect the Middle East?
It gave the Zionists the hope of returning to the land that they claim that their sky god had promised them. Lord Balfour was the most stupid Foreign Secretary in the history of British Politics. His interference in Palestine in 1916 has sown the seeds of the present instability and bloodshed. Once the Zionists got a foothold in Palestine the harmonious relations between the existing races and religions broke down very quickly as it became clear to the arabs that the intention of these European jews was to evict all the Christians and Muslims from their land. The official policy of the religious Zionists is to possess all the land from the Mediterranean to the Euphrates and down to the Red Sea as they claim that this is the area promised to Abraham by their god in the Book of Genesis.
