Americans have had a major effect on the Philippine culture. Philippine culture is a mixture of Malay, Chinese, Spanish, Mexican, and America cultures. Most of them are sons of US Military men. * Also, there are 250,000 permanent resident American citizens in the Philippines, and 80,000 temporary resident Americans, and together, they constitute the second largest American population in the world second only to the United States. * White skin, Light colored hair are all considered better than those who have darker skin or hair color. FILM INDUSTRY * Majority have White or American blood in them. If not, they must at least be of Spanish descent (to look Caucasian). * To enter the Film Industry, one must be of Caucasian descent to survive successfully.
