How did the Allies pool their resources to win World War 2?
Well the Allied alliance of the US, UK and the USSR was actually a disfunctional alliance, but it worked based on the premise the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Basically the Germans and Japanese were the lessor of evils. The USA and UK were true allies during WWII fighting both in the European and Pacific Theater together hand in hand. The Soviet only fought on the European front, but yet did probably 75% of the fighting on that front and lost the most of any nation. However the leaders of all three nations agreed that their main goal should be the unconditional surrender of the Axis powers however the means to do so was up to much debate. The main thing the allies had on their side was time. A conflict that was drawn out was better to their cause as they would be able to use their industrial power against the Axis.
