How did the actors cope when they had to put on the bomb disposal suits?
“It was hot. That was one of the more punishing elements of the heat and that bomb suit – that was not a creation of wardrobe or art department, it’s a real bomb suit, it weights about 100 pounds. The average temperature during the day when we were shooting was about 110 degrees. That was probably the single most challenging aspect of the film. Jeremy [Renner] is not only extremely talented but very formidable and resilient. He pulled it off.”The film isn’t politicised and doesn’t take a side on the US occupation of Iraq.
